About Capital Cartridges
Capital Cartridges is an Edinburgh-based business established in 2004.
From the beginning, our goal was simple: to provide a more affordable alternative to the expensive ink and toner cartridges sold by OEM brands. We originally refilled cartridges on site, replacing worn components and thoroughly testing every cartridge to meet—and often exceed—OEM standards.
As the business grew, we opened additional shops across Edinburgh to meet the demand from students, walk-in customers and local businesses looking to reduce their printing costs.
Our Elm Row shop soon became the heart of the business. The larger premises allowed us to keep up with increasing demand, adapt to new technology and support the ever-growing range of printer models. Over time, we expanded our services to include on-site printing, DPD parcel drop-off and key cutting.
In 2025, we decided to focus entirely on our online business, allowing us to serve customers throughout the UK while continuing to offer same-day delivery across Edinburgh. By specialising exclusively in ink and toner cartridges, we have been able to keep our prices competitive while maintaining the high level of service our customers expect.
Today, we remain committed to providing excellent service to every customer—whether that means ensuring fast delivery, offering expert advice or sourcing a hard-to-find cartridge that others cannot supply.
More than 20 years after we first opened, Capital Cartridges continues to supply genuine and high-quality compatible printer ink and toner cartridges to customers across Edinburgh and throughout the UK.
